PRESS RELEASE:
CoupaLink Certified Partner program leverages pre-connected software partners to speed connections to the Coupa platform and deliver customer value faster
SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–May 12, 2016–
Coupa Software, a leader in cloud-based spend management solutions, today rolled out a certification program that provides customers access to a larger set of software partners that can connect third-party applications to the Coupa platform faster than ever before. The CoupaLink Certified Partner program supports Coupa’s commitment to open business-to-business commerce and builds on Coupa’s long-standing Open API program. The program will enable third-party software partners to write a single certified Coupa application that will connect to Coupa customers quickly.
“It’s fantastic to see Coupa continually looking for ways for us to reduce our costs and increase value,” said Jonathan Tebeleff, chief financial officer at New Orleans College Prep. “It’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from Coupa through the years. We’ve already connected Nvoicepay for our supplier payments and will be reviewing the new pre-connected options to see where we can extend our Coupa platform even further.”
CoupaLink Certified Partners include categories such as business-to-business accounts payable (AP), invoice/supplier payment, AP automation invoice scanning, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system integration providers. The program’s launch partners will include American Express, MasterCard, Nvoicepay, CSI Global, ScanOne, Data Dimensions and Armanino. Additional CoupaLink Certified Partners are expected to be added in the future. Partners that participate in the CoupaLink Certified Partner program will represent a cross-section of industry sectors including tax, travel, e-commerce, contracts and security.
ERPs are only one of a number of systems that customers need to connect to their spend management platform. Coupa recognizes this as a potential obstacle and therefore has made a commitment to make it easy and affordable for organizations to connect and use Coupa as part of their hybrid cloud system consolidation efforts.
Since 2006, Coupa has delivered an open API platform to meet the needs of the modern API economy, with full documentation available publicly for all customers and partners to use. It will continue to be open and available publicly. Today, Coupa’s open API platform is widely used by customers around the globe and currently averages over 80 million API calls per month.
“Coupa has already been demonstrating how APIs that allow customers to connect to their cloud and on-premise software solutions will result in faster and more efficient processes and greater supply chain visibility,” said Andrew Karpie, research director, services and labor procurement at Spend Matters. “Going beyond SaaS, APIs and ‘supplier networks,’ the development of state-of-the-art, technology-based platforms – their open APIs, connectors and ecosystems of complementary solutions/services – enable significantly enhanced performance of enterprise procurement functions. CoupaLink, a single, out-of-the-box connector, will make it easier, more efficient, and faster for Coupa enterprise clients and third-party solution/services providers to establish valued-added integrations across the Coupa platform.”
The CoupaLink Certified Partner program extends Coupa’s open REST-based API framework by providing software providers an avenue to standardize and certify their Coupa integrations. The CoupaLink Certified Partner badge will be limited and available to only those providers that successfully pass the 10-step CoupaLink certification program.
“Coupa’s Open Business Network model matches our goal to digitize payments to any business supplier globally – regardless of supplier size and technology capabilities,” says Karla Friede, CEO of Nvoicepay. “We’re proud to be a CoupaLink Launch partner. Coupa customers can now use our Coupa connector to increase AP efficiency, pay suppliers digitally, leverage rebates and quickly reduce costs.”
CoupaLink provides detailed business process scenarios and use cases for third-party developers to create functionality and leverage the power of the Coupa Platform.
“The CoupaLink Certified Partner program takes our API program to the next level by giving our customers added confidence through our integration verification and certification,” said Rajiv Ramachandran, vice president of integrations and supplier enablement at Coupa. “The added steps that Coupa takes here will help save our customers integration time, cost and work, while shortening their time to deliver value. Plus, software providers can now write a single application that can work quickly across Coupa’s customer base. APIs are the cornerstone of modern hyperconnected business, and we’re showing the API economy is alive and well…what’s not to like?”
