Offers Business Users Immediate Phone Support Provided by a Microsoft Application and Device Expert

BALA CYNWYD, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 31, 2014–

Vitalyst, the leading provider of expert application and device support for business users, today announced that it has released a new Windows 8 App offering immediate access to a Vitalyst Microsoft application and device expert at the tap of a tile.

“Within the corporate help desk arena, there is a lot of focus now on driving employees to self-help, but this isn’t the right answer for many situations,” said Jim Tate, client solutions director for Vitalyst. “There are many business situations that require the assistance of a live expert-level support person, and we know this because we take these calls all day, every day. Busy, highly-mobile professionals don’t have the time to search online or access internal portals when they have an urgent need. This Windows 8 Help app linking to immediate live support provides the help they need when they need it, at the tap of a tile.”

Vitalyst has been providing corporate business users immediate access to exceptional Microsoft application support for more than 20 years. In recent years, the company has added device “how to” support and other services such as application training and self-help tools to its service set. Formerly known as PC Helps, the company changed its name to Vitalyst earlier this year to reflect its expanded service offering.

The Vitalyst live support service is generally integrated into the client’s existing help desk environment and accessed through existing help desk phone lines. The Vitalyst Windows 8 Help App now provides another access channel for business users on Windows 8 computers and devices in Vitalyst client companies. These users can enter up to 3 contact numbers into the app, and receive an immediate call from a live expert to the number of their choice whenever they need help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A direct dial 800 number is also provided if the user prefers to call Vitalyst directly, or needs to call directly because they do not have internet connectivity. During the support session, the Vitalyst expert can, with the client’s prior authorization and the business user’s permission, view the user’s computer or device screen.

The Vitalyst Windows 8 Help App is available for download in the Windows store, and there is no charge for the application. Support services accessed through the app will be charged to the client company as part of their existing Vitalyst support plan. Individual users not associated with a Vitalyst client company can pay for services on a credit card at the time of service.
