KANSAS CITY, Mo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 7, 2014–
DSI, a 2013 Gartner MADP Magic Quadrant company, announced today it had hired Gordon Van Huizen as its new Chief Technology Officer. Van Huizen comes to DSI from research firm Gartner, where he focused on mobile application development, cloud computing and API strategies. While at Gartner, Van Huizen helped develop several MADP Magic Quadrant reports as well as lead the development and publication of Gartner’s Taxonomy, Definitions and Vendor Landscape for Mobile AD Technologies.

“The addition of Gordon to DSI’s executive management team is great validation of our position in the marketplace and how we’re helping create the mobile supply chain for the enterprise,” said Matt McGraw, President & CEO of DSI. “To bring someone of Gordon’s experience, depth of knowledge and vision, makes DSI a stronger company.”
Van Huizen is not new to the CTO role. Before becoming an analyst with Gartner, Van Huizen drove product direction, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for several industry-leading middleware products and applications platforms, including BEA’s flagship WebLogic Server. While the CTO at Sonic Software, Van Huizen contributed to the definition and emergence of the enterprise service bus (ESB) technology. In 2004, Van Huizen won the InfoWorld CTO 25 Award for SOA and ESB leadership.
“DSI has positioned itself as a leader in the mobile application development space and I’m excited to join and be a part of it,” said Van Huizen. “DSI’s innovative combination of rapid application delivery, an industrial-strength platform and deep M2M (machine-to-machine) expertise uniquely position the company to lead the charge into the emerging age of mobility, smart machines and the digital supply chain. I look forward to helping chart that course at DSI.”
