PRESS RELEASE:
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–November 2, 2016–
i2B Capital (www.i2bcap.com), a provider of direct financing to niche-market financial entrepreneurs, is pleased to announce closing on a significant joint venture funding agreement with Arena Investors, LP. The agreement will enable i2B Capital to expand into larger investment opportunities ranging $5-20 million.
i2B Capital (Institutional to Business Capital) is a 2015 start-up led by Larry L. Curran II, former Chief Development Officer for VION Receivable Investments. Mr. Curran brings more than 25 years’ success in developing receivables-based investments in the United States, South America, and Europe. His expertise identifying unique opportunities in emerging global markets is now focused on providing capital funding to promising companies in developing North American industries.
Said Mr. Curran, “We see excellent opportunity in providing senior debt growth capital and direct asset investments to emerging-market entrepreneurs with proven business models otherwise limited by their size, age, or asset class. Those asset classes might include commercial accounts receivable, purchase orders, consumer loans, revenue streams, or contracts, among others. However, our target clients all have proven business models and strong management teams. We look for underfunded opportunities that have not yet grown to institutional lending scale. To date, our typical engagements have ranged $5-15 million. Our agreement with Arena will enable us to seek out opportunities on a much larger scale.”
Arena Investors, LP (www.arenaco.com) is a global investment firm investing across the credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce. Dan Zwirn, CEO of Arena Investors said, “We are already working on several transactions with Larry. He has the ability to identify investment opportunities where there is limited historical data based, instead, upon operational strengths of undervalued assets. More importantly, he is able to capitalize upon those opportunities by transforming seemingly complex obstacles into winning propositions for all sides involved. We are pleased to partner with Mr. Curran through i2B Capital.”
i2B Capital is headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado with offices in Herndon, Virginia. The company provides senior debt and direct asset investments for growth capital to qualifying entrepreneurs and equity-backed emerging specialty finance companies throughout the United States.
