PRESS RELEASE:
LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–October 11, 2017–
Agilesphere has advanced their conversation with industry to rethink how organisations are structured. Leading a roundtable at last week’s Agile Business Conference, a major forum for those interested in Agile ways of working, Founding Partner Jeremy Renwick invited the industry experts to consider how to further develop Agilesphere’s Minimum Viable Organisation vision. He also announced that Agilesphere is set to hold a one-day conference later in the year to bring together industry and Government, along with academics and thinkers from around the world.
Building on Stafford Beer’s Viable Systems Model, the Minimum Viable Organisation framework is designed to embed feedback, empowerment, recursion and value within organisations. Following Renwick’s introduction to the framework – also at the Agile Business Conference – the roundtable provided an opportunity to assess how models of organisation can be transformed. The roundtable brought together the following experts to share ideas for alternative ways of structuring organisations to make them strategic, efficient and customer focused:
- Jon Sleeper, Jon Coaching and Consulting Services
- Bertil Hansson, Riksdagsförvaltningen
- Baljinder Hayer, Hayer Ltd
- Dilraj Sachdev, dxclans Ltd
- Ian Arundell, Expense Reduction Analysts UK & Ireland
- David Willans, Will&Progress
Jeremy Renwick, Founder of Agilesphere said: “We’re thrilled that the discussion has started, beginning a new journey on how to rethink organisations. We want to continue to involve as many experts as possible as we develop the Minimum Viable Organisation concept. Now that we have launched our initial thinking on what this model could look like, we are looking forward to collaborating with others at our conference later in the year to discover alternatives to the existing broken model and examples of where value has been created already. We believe that our Minimum Viable Organisation vision will help organisations tackle the challenges and opportunities society will face.”
The Agile Business Conference is a major, two-day annual event which provides a single forum for everyone interested in the application of Agile, or moving towards an Agile way of working. The unique gathering of influential Agile practitioners and leaders also brings together senior professionals predominantly from the UK and Europe, including C-suite executives, directors and managers.
Agilesphere is a 100-strong community of talented experts who use Agile consultancy and technology to transform services, organisations and society for the better. The organisation has supported a wide range of Governmental and private sector organisations in delivering transformational change at scale.
