Lissa Franklin has joined the company as Vice President Business Development and Marketing, and Marco Laumanns as Vice President Research. Lissa brings extensive experience in market development and customer driven solutions in new mobility services. At BestMile she directs a team of business development professionals in Europe and the U.S. and leads the marketing strategy for the company. Lissa previously managed AppDirect’s Connected Vehicles Practice where she worked with OEMs, Tier 1s and technology providers. As a Silicon Valley executive, she built her broad experience in SaaS based products, mobility services, and connected cars and fleets. Lissa is also part of the executive team of the Connected Vehicle Trade Association.
Marco brings significant industry and research expertise in public transportation and optimization. At BestMile, he is building and managing an interdisciplinary team of highly skilled transportation researchers, data scientists, and algorithm engineers. Previously as Project Leader for Transportation and Operations Research at IBM Research, Marco was globally responsible for public transport activities across IBM’s world-wide labs. He is a regular adviser to major public transport operators and governments to provide thought leadership on future mobility issues including new service designs and automation of planning and operations.
