New Service is Official Celebrity Transportation Provider for the KTLA Morning News
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–September 4, 2014–
Opoli, the next generation transportation and service app that launched in Los Angeles last month, now has 250 professional, commercially licensed drivers available through the app.
“The Opoli point of different centers on commercially insured, professional drivers who offer a safer and better alternative,” said Opoli founder and CEO Rattan Joea. “Opoli riders can choose from town cars, SUVs, a Tesla or even a Bentley, depending on what they need and the occasion. Comparing our premium service to others, riders are appreciating Opoli’s professionalism, lower price within the black car market and the fact that all of our drivers are licensed for airport pick-ups, in style, of course.”
Since launching last month, Opoli has more than doubled the number of drivers available and continues daily to add more drivers. The app has received more than 5,000 consumer downloads.
Opoli’s professional drivers appeal to all types of riders, including those who require privacy. During the summer Opoli has been providing transportation for celebrities visiting the KTLA Morning News.
Opoli lets the customer and provider do business one-to-one in real time, for either on-demand rides or future reservations. Once the connection is made, Opoli gets out of the way, allowing the customer to deal directly with the provider, see their reviews and choose the price, car and driver.
“With Opoli there’s no surprise pricing,” added Joea.
All Opoli drivers are licensed for Southern California airport pick-ups including LAX, Ontario, Burbank, Long Beach and Orange County. Using Opoli allows drivers to set their own pricing and work when and where they choose, including having the ability to work for other channels since Opoli’s free market platform does not lock a drivers’ phone like other apps. Providers do not pay commission to Opoli to be part of the service allowing for competitive fixed pricing and lower pricing for customers.
The Opoli app is available for iPhones while a web widget makes it possible to be used by all smartphones, desktop and tablets.
More Control for Drivers and Riders
Opoli works like this – The customer turns to her Opoli app on her smartphone, which automatically maps her location for pickup. The customer inputs her drop-off point and how much she wants to pay for the ride. Opoli sends her offer to participating drivers in the area. Drivers respond in real time with an acceptance or a counter offer that goes right back to the consumer. At a glance and in a matter of moments, the customer can compare prices, reviews, travel time, photos and make a selection that works for her. Payment goes straight to the driver and the customer can track her ride as it approaches.
Privately held, Opoli Technology Inc. is headquartered in Hawthorne, California. For more information, visit http://www.opoli.com or follow Opoli on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/opoliapp.
