Kony delivers fully customized mobile application with outstanding user interface in just four weeks for one of the largest pharmacy and retail chains in Latin America

ORLANDO, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–November 19, 2014–

Kony, Inc., the leading enterprise mobility company, today announced that it has helped Farmatodo, a major self-service pharmacy and retail chain in Latin America, increase customer loyalty and rapidly deliver new services with highly-rated mobile applications.

Farmatodo, which has been in business for more than 95 years, is a pioneer of the self-service pharmacy concept in Latin America. It directly commercializes medicine, self-care, beauty products, home products and food. Today, the company has 200 pharmacies in Venezuela and Columbia, with the majority of them open 24 hours, 365 days a year. In an effort to improve its relationship with customers and increase customer loyalty and business growth, Farmatodo developed an enterprise mobility strategy built on Kony’s cloud-based mobile platform.

Farmatodo worked with Kony to launch their first mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. With Kony, Farmatodo was able to expand its mobile program to help them better understand customer preference and buying patterns so they can provide offerings that are better targeted to customer needs. In addition to strengthening their relationship with existing customers, Farmatodo also wanted to gain new customers and increase registration for their customer loyalty program. Finally, through their mobile apps, the company is able to offer new services targeted to a specific market and customer base. In the first 90 days, Farmatodo was able to achieve strong adoption of the mobile apps: more than 100,000 downloads, more than 18,000 customers that signed up for the Farmatodo loyalty program, and the ratings for the app exceeded four points in a five point scale.
