Launches second mobile product in four months to maximize second screen sports consumption and mobile growth

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–January 5, 2015–

FanDuel, the leading provider of one-day fantasy sports, unveiled its first iPad app today, now available for free in the App Store. The completely redesigned app allows FanDuel’s million+ active users to draft lineups, enter paid and free leagues, and seamlessly watch live scoring during games to track their rosters’ progress.

The iPad launch is the latest mobile product from FanDuel, who debuted their first iPhone app in August, ready for NFL season. Since its debut, the iPhone app has been downloaded nearly 850,000 times and is used by more than 50% of all active users to access live scoring during games. The iPhone app has a five star rating, and has consistently been a top 10 sports app throughout football season.

“As FanDuel’s userbase has grown, we’ve seen widespread adoption of our mobile products by our users who are complementing the live sports experience by simultaneously watching their fantasy teams rack up points,” said Tom Griffiths, CPO. “There’s huge potential for us to become the definitive second screen for live sports, and we’re going to invest in and continue to deliver new products and platforms that make watching sports more exciting for fans across the country.”
