LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 23, 2015–
PlayQ announced today that co-founders Joseph Aigboboh and Ryan Komori have been recognized and featured in Inc.’s 10th annual 30 Under 30 list, which includes some of today’s most influential innovators and young entrepreneurs. Inc. has “established a solid track record of identifying future superstars” across various industries.
“We are happy to be among Inc.’s pick of the 30 best and brightest young entrepreneurs. Our continued focus on delivering only the highest quality entertainment to the broadest audience has fueled our strong growth in 2014 and set the stage for even faster growth this year,” said Aigboboh.
Aigboboh and Komori met at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and launched PlayQ in 2007 with an initial $10,000 seed investment from start-up accelerator Techstars. Fifty million downloads later, PlayQ has grown into a leading mobile gaming company. Its current hit game, Charm King, has reached more than 10 million downloads worldwide and is a top 100 grossing game in over 40 countries on the App Store and Google Play since its initial release in May 2014.
“This recognition is shared amongst our incredible team,” said Komori. “We’re proud to be providing entertainment to millions of people around the world every day.”
