ZeroLight invites technology investment community to sample its ground-breaking car configurator solution at Web Summit

GATESHEAD, England–(BUSINESS WIRE)–October 16, 2015–

ZeroLight, creator of the world’s most advanced 3D car configurator, has been shortlisted for an award that recognises the company as one of 2015’s top tech start-ups.

The Tech Business of The Year 2015 award is administered by Startups, the UK’s No.1 service for starting a business. The award identifies companies with the potential to become leaders in their sector, challenge the status quo and make a significant contribution to the UK’s ability to become a global technology powerhouse. The Tech Business of the Year shortlisting is ZeroLight’s latest awards acknowledgement, following listings in the Future50 Index, Northern Tech Awards, Pathfinder 20 and Startups 100.

ZeroLight announced last week that it is attending leading technology conference, Web Summit (Dublin) 3rd – 5th November. A demonstration of its omnichannel car configurator solution will be available at the Machine Summit, booth M813. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore and configure the exclusive Pagani Huayra supercar using technology that helped secure the shortlisting.

Attendees will discover the unique capabilities of ZeroLight’s real-time 3D visualisation software, which has attracted high profile clients in the automotive industry including Audi, Pagani and other unannounced manufacturers.

The sector is using ZeroLight’s solution to power engaging digital car experiences in flagship stores, global dealership networks and online, revolutionising the customer journey. The technology allows consumers to digitally explore and configure a 3D car to their exact specification, offering vast improvements over the existing retail model, which relies on limited 2D experiences, printed material and standardised dealership models.

Analyst Frost & Sullivan predicts that by the end of 2016 typical car showrooms will have dedicated 20-30% of their floor space to digital experiences such as those provided by ZeroLight, investing up to $5 billion in the process.

Marketing Director Jason Collins believes that ZeroLight operates at a timely crossover between transpiring technology and consumer expectation. “We’re enabling manufacturers to bring digital experiences to their showrooms and websites by utilising new and emerging technologies that meet customers’ expectations for experiential retail,” says Collins. “Web Summit is the best opportunity to see ZeroLight’s award-winning technology, meet the team and learn about the exciting journey we’re on to change how the world buys cars.”
